3rd Engineering Personnel receive early cash gifts and bonus

GUINDULMAN - Regular employees of the 3rd Engineering District of the Department of Public Work and Highways (DPWH) received their Christmas bonus and cash gifts in the middle part of November 2008 so that they may use it to purchase whatever necessary needs in preparation for this coming yuletide.

District Engineer Edilberto Ativo said that aside from the regular employees he will look for any means that the casual employees will also received and enjoy the same as soon as the funds from the savings will be released.

Since Engr. Ativo assumed into office, his particular office policy was to observe austerity so that they could save a lot of money for future use.

Engr. Ativo stressed that he will continue the programs of former District Engineer Aramis Torrefranca by launching simultaneously a Christmas distribution of foodstuff and used clothing as well as Christmas gifts to those identified as less fortunate in the different barangays of Guindulman, as one of the highlights of the office of 3rd Engineering District.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Engineering District is now concentrating on its road maintenance within its jurisdiction with the appropriation amounting to P16 million.

He added that the concreting re-blocking of old roads was started in August 2008 and is expected to be finished by the end of December.
